In 2007 Eugene Khoza shot to stardom when he won the Ricoffy Comedy Challenge and made it all the way to the semi-finals of M-Net’s Laugh Out Loud comedy competition, and now more than a decade later he is one of South Africa’s most sought-after comedians. He became a household name by appearing in television adverts as the Nedbank Guy, co-hosting on the popular youth station YFM and on the show Countdown 2010 on SABC 1, hosting the reality competition The AXE Sweet Life, starring on the hit comedy sketch show The Tonight Show with Trevor Noah and on many other shows.
For the past five years, he has taken a break from the national comedy scene to perform on global stages from Australia to the United States of America. Now, this Pretoria native is back and better than before to perform on his home ground South Africa.
On 04 November 2022, the hilarious Eugene Khoza will present his long awaited one-man show titled Step-Aside live at the Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre.
